League recap: Moorman's hot bat leads Zion Christian

Jon Moorman was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .476 average, two home runs and nine RBIs. Meanwhile, Zion Christian put together a 2-2 week.

Algoma Christian has now lost seven straight games, currently the longest losing streak in the league.

The Mountaineers finished with the most hits in the league this week, adding 56 for a league-leading total of 173. Matthew Moorman has a team-high 32 hits on the season for first-place Zion Christian, which went 2-2 this week.

The Mountaineers, the season leader in runs scored at 194, added to their total with a league-high 49 runs this week. Zion Christian's key hitters include Moorman, who has a team-high 34 runs, and Josh Kunnen, who leads the squad with with 25 RBIs.



The Mountaineers' Kunnen led the league with 13 hits this week. His 25 hits for the year are third in the league, and he boasts a .417 batting average.
