Baseball Game Preview: ThunderRidge Grizzlies vs. Heritage Eagles

The ThunderRidge Grizzlies will head out on the road to challenge the Heritage Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for ThunderRidge and four for Heritage.

On Monday, ThunderRidge didn't have quite enough to beat Rock Canyon and fell 7-6.

ThunderRidge saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Carpinello, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Heritage challenged Mountain Vista on Thursday. The Eagles lost 9-3 to the Golden Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jameson Switzer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

ThunderRidge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Everything went ThunderRidge's way against Heritage in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as ThunderRidge made off with an 8-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
