Softball Recap: Blum Bobcats vs. Hico Tigers

Blum lost against Hico back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blum Bobcats fell 7-3 to the Hico Tigers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Blum has scored all season.

Caelan Ringer put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Ringer has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Ringer was also solid in the batter's box, going 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, McKayla Whatley and Skylar Allen did some serious damage despite the final result: Whatley scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Allen scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emma Peacock, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
