Basketball Recap: Aberdeen Christian Comes Up Short

Aberdeen Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 48-12 loss at the hands of the Northwestern Area Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Wildcats are ranked 44th).

Aberdeen Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Northwestern Area, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Aberdeen Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Herreid/Selby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwestern Area, they will venture away from home to face off against Waubay/Summit at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
