Volleyball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Newark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the William Penn Colonials, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for William Penn, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Newark has already played their next contest (against Tatnall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for William Penn, they will square off against Appoquinimink at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
