Basketball Game Preview: Vista PEAK Prep Bison vs. Denver East Angels

The Vista PEAK Prep Bison will head out on the road to face off against the Denver East Angels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Vista PEAK Prep came up short against Denver South and fell 71-60. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Ravens are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Denver East suffered their closest defeat since February 10, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Dakota Ridge by a score of 66-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (62), the Angels still had to take the loss.

Vista PEAK Prep will need focus on slowing down MAURICE FULTCHER, one of several Denver East players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7 of 11 en route to 17 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of JAMES MURRAY, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

Vista PEAK Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Denver East, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
