Volleyball Recap: Acton-Boxborough Takes a Loss

Acton-Boxborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Westborough Rangers, falling 3-0.

While Acton-Boxborough was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-22.

Leila Ditullio went supernova For Westborough., getting 20 digs and five aces. Those 20 digs gave Ditullio a new career-high.

Acton-Boxborough's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Westborough, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acton-Boxborough will square off against Lincoln-Sudbury at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westborough, they will venture away from home to face off against Algonquin Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
