Basketball Recap: Warrior Run Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Warrior Run can now relate to. They lost 61-36 to the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers on Thursday. The Defenders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.

Andy Hermansen had an outrageously good game for North Penn-Mansfield as he posted 14 points along with six steals and five assists. Those 14 points gave Hermansen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Davis, who put up 13 points in addition to six steals and five assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Warrior Run and nudges their season record down to 18-6. As for North Penn-Mansfield, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4.

While Warrior Run had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
