Softball Game Preview: Clemente Wildcats vs. Carver Challengers

The Clemente Wildcats will challenge the Carver Challengers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Clemente has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clemente is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since April 24, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against Agricultural Science, falling 24-9. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Jaylani Sanchez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Sabrina Negron was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Carver played against Juarez on Wednesday and lost via forfeit.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clemente fell to 4-1-1. As for Carver, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
