Baseball Recap: Mountain View Eagles vs. Montrose Meteors
Mountain View fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Montrose on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Meteors by a score of 8-7. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Meteors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Jordan Jagger was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Jagger was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.
