Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short

Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the North Posey Vikings at home by a 54-38 margin. While losing is never fun, the Golden Aces can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 560th in Illinois, while the Vikings are ranked 175th in Indiana).

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for North Posey, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Mt. Carmel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-44 loss against Paris on the 14th. As for North Posey, they have also already played their next matchup, a 55-46 defeat against Southridge on the 14th.
