Baseball Recap: Leslie County's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

While Leslie County's win against Morgan County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Cougars on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Tyler Baker was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Leslie County's victory bumped their record up to 8-22. As for Morgan County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Coming up, Leslie County will be playing in front of their home fans against Buckhorn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morgan County, they will head out to take on Breathitt County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
