Recap: Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers vs. Egyptian Pharaohs
The third road contest was the charm for the Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Egyptian on Friday and snuck past 44-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Joppa-Maple Grove also won the last time the pair played last Saturday.
AJ Lyle was the offensive standout of the game as he went 6 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 0 assists. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maurice Zabala, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 16 rebounds.
Joppa-Maple Grove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Egyptian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Joppa-Maple Grove will take on Century at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Egyptian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Cobden at 7:30 p.m.
