Passers beware: Daniel Rodriguez came down with his first-ever interception on Friday and he's no doubt on the hunt for more. He also picked up 109 receiving yards as Independence fell to Marcos de Niza 54-7. We hope Rodriguez's good effort is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.

Coming up, Rodriguez and Independence will host Tempe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will pit Rodriguez up against the Buffaloes' star pass catcher Mark Jackson.
