Basketball Recap: Logansport Comes Up Short

Logansport suffered their closest loss since December 27, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Oak Hill Golden Eagles by a score of 62-59. The defeat continues a trend for the Berries in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Logansport lost, don't look at Chris Anthony Delvalle. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-14 en route to 24 points. Deagan Kitchel was another key player, going 5-for-6 on his way to 12 points.

Oak Hill found their leader in sophomore Landon Cruzan, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 13 points. Those 13 points gave Cruzan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jace Tonagel, who went 5-for-8 en route to 11 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Logansport's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Oak Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Logansport will host Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Tipton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tipton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season.
