Basketball Recap: Appling Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 63 points the game before, Appling Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They took a 33-14 bruising from Trinity Christian. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with Trinity Christian: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Appling Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bella Gray posted seven points in addition to ten rebounds and five steals. Gray has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played.

Even though they lost, Appling Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests.
