Basketball Game Preview: Overlea Falcons vs. McDonough Rams

The Overlea Falcons and the McDonough Rams will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Overlea lost 68-48 to Edmondson-Westside on Saturday.

Meanwhile, McDonough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to St. Charles on the road by a 64-49 margin.

Overlea will have to keep a close watch on Micheal Kelly Jr. and Andrew Moultrie, a pair of players who had a big impact on McDonough's prior game. Kelly Jr. almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds, while Moultrie shot 50% from the field to rack up 14 points and five assists. Mashun Johnson was another key player, putting up nine points.

McDonough's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Overlea, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
