The Christ Prep Academy Patriots will face off against the Midland Adventist Academy Mustangs at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Midland Adventist Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-33 heartbreaker at the hands of The Daniel Academy.

Despite the defeat, Midland Adventist Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiden Cowan went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Cowan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Owolabi, who posted five points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Midland Adventist Academy's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 11-5. As for Christ Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
