Basketball Game Preview: Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros vs. Thompson Tommies

Hillsboro/Central Valley hasn't had much luck against Thompson recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros will head out on the road to challenge the Thompson Tommies at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Hillsboro/Central Valley sitting on three straight victories and Thompson on seven.

Hillsboro/Central Valley will bounce into Monday's game after beating Ada-Borup, who they had gone 0-8 against in their eight prior meetings. Hillsboro/Central Valley strolled past Ada-Borup with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-39.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Thompson against Northern Cass on Friday as the squad secured a 70-43 win. The Tommies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Thompson pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 20.5 points. As for Hillsboro/Central Valley, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Hillsboro/Central Valley took a serious blow against Thompson when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 84-32. Can Hillsboro/Central Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
