It was a good run, but Coginchaug Regional unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 67-59 to the Old Lyme Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-57 back in December of 2024.

Coginchaug Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Old Lyme, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coginchaug Regional will venture away from home to square off against Hale Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Old Lyme, they are taking a road trip to face off against Old Saybrook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
