Basketball Game Preview: Bowdon Red Devils vs. Chattahoochee County Panthers

The Bowdon Red Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Chattahoochee County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bowdon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Bowdon didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Trion, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory.

Kaiden Prothro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 15 rebounds. Prothro is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Timothy Johnson, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Bowdon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Chattahoochee County suffered their closest loss since January 14th on Thursday. They fell just short of Taylor County by a score of 65-63. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Chattahoochee County's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Bowdon, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Bowdon was able to grind out a solid victory over Chattahoochee County when the teams last played back in February of 2016, winning 55-45. Does Bowdon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chattahoochee County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
