Basketball Recap: Oak Park Takes a Loss

If Oak Park was feeling good fresh off their 84-64 takedown of Moorpark last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Oak Park Eagles took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Royal Highlanders. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Oak Park's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Royal, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Park will host Simi Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Simi Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season. As for Royal, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Golden Valley at 6:00 p.m.
