Westfield won the last time they faced Chantilly and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy  30-14 win over the Chargers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Chargers are ranked 151st).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Ryan Carlson, who threw for 155 yards and three  touchdowns. Those  three  passing touchdowns gave  Carlson a new career-high.  Malachi Lee was in the mix  too, providing Westfield with two scores.
 Westfield's defense stepped up as well, laying out  Sahir Mantri four times. Leading the way was  Jacob Brubaker with  two sacks.  Wesley Flamer was another major factor on D,  picking up  a  sack and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Westfield is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 26.0 points over those games. As for Chantilly, their loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Looking ahead, Westfield will square off against South Lakes at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 7th. The Bulldogs will be up against the Seahawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.44  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Chantilly, they will take on James Madison at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 7th. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Warhawks have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three contests.
