Basketball Recap: Northview Academy Comes Up Short

Northview Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. Their2024 ended with a 79-65 defeat against the Gulf Breeze Dolphins on Friday.

Hutson Rowe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Gulf Breeze, going 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and eight rebounds. Rowe continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Jackson, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points along with five assists and five boards.

Northview Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Gulf Breeze, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Taylor the next time they take the court. Gulf Breeze will host Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Northview Academy will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
