Soccer Game Preview: North Garland vs. Rowlett

North Garland hasn't had much luck against Rowlett recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The North Garland Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Rowlett Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Rowlett took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on North Garland, who comes in off a win.

North Garland will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Naaman Forest, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. North Garland sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Naaman Forest on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Rowlett was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Wylie East, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Raiders are ranked 31st).

The victory got North Garland back to even at 5-5-1. As for Rowlett, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

North Garland suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Rowlett when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can North Garland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
