Football Recap: Owen Takes a Loss

Owen lost against West Henderson back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warhorses came up short against the Falcons, falling 37-15. The Warhorses were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.

Emmett Minks threw for 48 yards and one touchdown. Hayden Burpeau was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Haiden Small rushed for 52 yards and one score on only five carries.

Zane McCraw had a dynamite game For West Henderson., rushing for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also picking up 31 receiving yards and one score. McCraw really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. West Henderson also got a significant boost from Isaiah Cash, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 100 yards.

Owen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Henderson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Owen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-14 win against Polk County on the 19th. As for West Henderson, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-7 victory against Tuscola on the 19th.
