Softball Recap: Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Comes Up Short

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton lost against Kenyon-Wanamingo back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Knights, falling 26-15.

Brielle Dessner was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Autumn Thissen, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Kenyon-Wanamingo, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton will take on Randolph at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kenyon-Wanamingo, they will face off against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
