Baseball Recap: Bakersfield Takes a Loss

Bakersfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Bakersfield Christian Eagles, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 on Monday.

Bakersfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Dunlap, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18-1. As for Bakersfield Christian, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6-1.

While Bakersfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
