Recap: Plainview Bulldogs vs. Rider Raiders
The Plainview Bulldogs lost against the Rider Raiders back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Plainview was dealt a 49-16 loss at the hands of Rider. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Plainview in their matchups with Rider: they've now lost six in a row.
Rider got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyrone Morgan out in front who picked up 178 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Morgan was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 63 yards. Another player making a difference was Joe Castles, who threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes.
Plainview has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Rider, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Plainview will head out on the road to face off against Palo Duro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palo Duro is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Rider, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lubbock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lubbock comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
