Basketball Recap: San Antonio Christian Comes Up Short

San Antonio Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 42-28 bruising from the Saint Mary's Hall Barons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-23 back in January.

Among those leading the charge was Isabella (Beya) Chase, who went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points in addition to five assists and four steals. What's more, she also posted a 43% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Genesis Edwards Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 15 boards.

San Antonio Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

As of now, neither San Antonio Christian nor Saint Mary's Hall have any future games scheduled.
