It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but The City School Lions had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Falcons 76-25 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win The City School has managed all season.

The City School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carlos Monroe III out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Monroe III is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Murphy, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

The victory got The City School back to even at 10-10. As for Liguori Academy, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The City School will face off against Girard Academic Music Program at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Girard Academic Music Program has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Liguori Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
