Soccer Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster entered their match against Northumberland on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Red Devils fell 2-0 to the Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Northumberland this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in April.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Northumberland, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Coming up, Lancaster will challenge Rappahannock at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rappahannock will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lancaster surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northumberland, they will square off against Westmoreland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northumberland will be up against Westmoreland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.86 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
