Baseball Game Preview: Bolton Central Eagles vs. Johnsburg Central Jaguars

The Bolton Central Eagles will head out to challenge the Johnsburg Central Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Bolton Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Wednesday. Bolton Central fell 8-4 to Loudonville Christian.

Bolton Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Hubert, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Hubert has become a key player for Bolton Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-2-1 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Johnsburg Central and North Warren Central finished up their game with a 5-5 draw on Tuesday.

Johnsburg Central's tie gives them a new season record of 0-1-1. As for Bolton Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Bolton Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Johnsburg Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
