Torres has gone 3-0 against Sotomayor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Torres Toros will challenge the Sotomayor Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Torres didn't have quite enough to beat Elizabeth and fell 3-2. The Toros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sotomayor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Maywood Academy. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Wolves couldn't quite close it out.

Torres' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Sotomayor, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Torres came out on top in a nail-biter against Sotomayor in their previous matchup on January 6th, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Torres since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
