Shepaug Valley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Terryville Kangaroos 84-48. 84 seems to be a good number for the Spartans as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Shepaug Valley was led to victory by Reed Woerner and James Kersten. Woerner went 14 for 33 en route to 36 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals, while Kersten went 6 of 14 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven steals and six assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Woerner has scored at least a third of Shepaug Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Drew Konik, who posted nine points and three steals.

Shepaug Valley pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Terryville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
