Volleyball Recap: Hiland Beats New Philadelphia for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Hiland strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the New Philadelphia Quakers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hiland easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-7.

Hiland was led to victory by Olivia Miller and Sienna Immel. Miller had 15 digs and one assist, while Immel had five digs and three aces. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 28 times she's played. Karli Schrock also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Hiland's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for New Philadelphia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hiland will welcome Indian Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Philadelphia, they will be playing at home against Madison Comprehensive at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
