Volleyball Recap: Herrin Tigers vs. Charleston Trojans

Herrin saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Charleston Trojans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Evaley Collier paced Herrin's offense, picking up 11 kills. Collier got some help from Emery Skaggs and her 13 assists. Finally, Collier was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Charleston's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Avery Beals, who had 18 digs, and Charlie Milton, who had five digs and one block. Beals is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.
