Volleyball Game Preview: Aquinas Blugolds vs. Luther Knights

Aquinas has gone 7-1 against Luther recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Blugolds will challenge the Knights. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Aquinas comes in on five and Luther on three.

Aquinas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Viroqua by a score of 3-1.

While Aquinas might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Viroqua scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 16-25, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Aubrey Coyne, who had 18 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last six times she's played. Norah Poellinger was another key player, getting nine digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Luther got the win against Richland Center on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0.

Luther was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-18.

Luther's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Aquinas, their win bumped their record up to 16-14.
