Volleyball Recap: Lewiston Takes a Loss

Lewiston suffered their biggest loss since September 11th on Thursday. They came up short against the Sacred Heart Irish, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-19.

Emersyn Courtney was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 16 digs and one assist.

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Sacred Heart, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Lewiston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Lourdes Central Catholic on the 30th. As for Sacred Heart, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Diller-Odell on the 27th.
