Preview: Rangeview Raiders vs. Grandview Wolves
Rangeview and Grandview are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Rangeview Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Grandview Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rangeview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Rangeview came up short against Smoky Hill and fell 58-49. Rangeview has not had much luck with Smoky Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Rangeview saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Royce Edwards, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenny Black-Knox, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Grandview's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The match between Grandview and Mountain Vista wasn't particularly close, with Grandview falling 62-48. While losing is never fun, Grandview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Mountain Vista is ranked 45th).
Their wins bumped Rangeview to 1-2 and Smoky Hill to 3-2.
Rangeview came up short against Grandview in their previous meeting back in January, falling 51-45. Can Rangeview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
