Basketball Game Preview: Intermountain Christian Lions vs. Milford Tigers

Intermountain Christian is 0-3 against Milford since February of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 11:30 a.m.

Two weeks ago, Intermountain Christian had to suffer through a 81-32 loss at the hands of Draper APA.

Meanwhile, Milford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points) and they went ahead and made it three last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 61-23 win over the Panthers. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Milford found their leader in sophomore Jaidyn Mcmullin, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 16 points and five assists. That's the most assists Mcmullin has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Acacia Dalton, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Milford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in ten consecutive contests.

Milford's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Intermountain Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Intermountain Christian might still be hurting after the 43-23 defeat they got from Milford when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Thankfully for Intermountain Christian, JaLeana Tsosie (who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
