Softball Recap: Irvington Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Irvington Preparatory Academy fell victim to Triton Central and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 18-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Irvington Preparatory Academy of the 25-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Irvington Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Triton Central, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Irvington Preparatory Academy will challenge Indianapolis Arsenal Technical at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Triton Central, they will welcome Beech Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Hornets a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
