Recap: Berryville Bobcats vs. Lincoln Wolves
The Berryville Bobcats lost against the Lincoln Wolves back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Berryville took a serious blow against Lincoln, falling 54-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Berryville in their matchups with Lincoln: they've now lost eight in a row.
Lincoln's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kale Jones, who rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for eight yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Drew Moore was another key contributor, throwing for 273 yards and two touchdowns while completing 79.3% of his passes.
Berryville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Lincoln, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Berryville will take on Green Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Green Forest is ranked 151st, while Berryville is ranked 152nd). As for Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
