Basketball Game Preview: Carrizo Springs Wildcats vs. Pearsall Mavericks

The Carrizo Springs Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Pearsall Mavericks at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Carrizo Springs will be strutting in after a win while Pearsall will be coming in after a defeat.

Carrizo Springs will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Somerset, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Carrizo Springs walked away with a 51-42 victory over Somerset last Friday.

Among those leading the charge was Ysella Hinojosa, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Rangel, who posted 13 points along with five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Pearsall was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a hard 43-29 fall against Uvalde.

Carrizo Springs pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Pearsall, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Carrizo Springs strolled past Pearsall in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 58-40. Does Carrizo Springs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pearsall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
