Tarpon Springs scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weeki Wachee Hornets. The Spongers just can't catch a break and have now endured 15 losses in a row.

Tarpon Springs' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Erby, who posted 20 points. Memphis Smith was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Logan White was his usual excellent self, scoring 41 points for Weeki Wachee. Those 41 points gave White a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayden Parent, who put up eight points.

Tarpon Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Weeki Wachee, their record now sits at 4-20.

Tarpon Springs will challenge Tampa Catholic on Monday. Weeki Wachee has already played their next game (against Crystal River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
