Softball Recap: Jackson Comes Up Short

Jackson dropped to 9-9 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Kamiak Knights, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Timberwolves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Kamiak, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Kamiak's part, not much got past Synclair Mawudeku, who gave up just four hits to keep Jackson off the board. Mawudeku has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kylee Bjella was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Mila McIntosh, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Coincidentally, Jackson and Kamiak will both be playing Cascade the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Timberwolves will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
