Baseball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Takes a Loss

Incarnate Word Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats.

Connor Davis and Talon Chanyaman did some serious damage despite the final result: Davis went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Chanyaman scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Incarnate Word Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for New Braunfels Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Incarnate Word Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, New Braunfels Christian Academy will challenge rival Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
