Baseball Recap: Woodford County's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Woodford County and Henry Clay, and Henry Clay kept the tradition alive. The Yellowjackets took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils on Friday. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Justus Wertzler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Pittman, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
