Preview: Yankton vs. Sturgis Brown
The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. On Thursday Sturgis Brown will take on Yankton at 6:00 PM. Sturgis Brown aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.
Last Thursday, Sturgis Brown had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 35-27 win over Hot Springs.
Meanwhile, Yankton took an ego-bruising defeat against Brandon Valley two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Thursday. Yankton narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Harrisburg 28-26. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Sturgis Brown took a serious blow against Yankton the last time the two teams met, falling 42-77. Can Sturgis Brown avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
