Volleyball Recap: Escalon Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Escalon lost against Ripon back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Escalon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-12, 25-16, 25-9.

Their offense was headlined by Marissa Terry and Chloe Green, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Aniston Hunt and her 20 assists. Avery Bartelink controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Kennedy Everhart was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Escalon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Ripon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-4.

Escalon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Orestimba on the 23rd. As for Ripon, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hilmar on the 23rd.
